Samuel Ayemere, PharmD, HSOR Ph.D. Student, WVU
Samuel Ayemere is a doctoral student in the Health Services and Outcomes Research (HSOR) program at West Virginia University. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the University of Benin, Nigeria, in 2016. Following graduation, he spent six years practicing in both community and hospital pharmacy settings, gaining extensive clinical experience. He later completed a Master of Science in Global Public Health at the University of Essex, United Kingdom. His research interests include health informatics, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, machine learning, and secondary data analysis. As an aspiring independent researcher, Samuel is committed to developing expertise in diverse research methodologies and advanced data analytic techniques to generate evidence that informs healthcare decision-making and improves patient outcomes.
Abdullah Al Anbari, PharmD Candidate, WVU
Abdullah is a Class of 2027 PharmD Candidate at West Virginia University School of Pharmacy, driven by a strong passion for the pharmaceutical industry and its capacity to make a tangible impact on patient lives. His core clinical interest lies in oncology, where he is drawn to the challenge of translating cutting-edge research into actionable insights that improve patient outcomes and advance the standard of care. By leveraging technology and his clinical knowledge, Abdullah aims to bridge the gap between complex scientific data, healthcare professionals, and the patients who rely on these therapies.
Following graduation, he plans to pursue a pharmaceutical industry fellowship in Medical Affairs, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), or Market Access. He is excited to contribute to research that bridges the divide between clinical development and real-world application, ensuring that critical oncology data reaches the people who need it most.
Ryan Virgili, PharmD Candidate, WVU
Ryan is a Class of 2028 PharmD Candidate at West Virginia University School of Pharmacy with a strong commitment to improving health outcomes through patient interaction. His clinical interests lie in oncology, where he aims to be an integral member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, directly working with various healthcare professionals to provide optimal treatment for patients with various disease states. By utilizing his clinical knowledge and experience, Ryan aims to enhance patient care and improve quality of life with direct and meaningful interventions on the hospital floor.
Following graduation, Ryan plans to pursue a two-year residency in oncology. He is excited to work hands-on with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and impact his community.
Bisola Adegoke, MS
Bisola Adegoke is a Population Health Data Analyst at Vandalia Health and holds a Master of Science in Health Informatics with a concentration in Healthcare Data Analytics from Marshall University. Her professional work combines healthcare analytics, population health, and performance improvement to support data-informed decision-making. Her research interests center on the use of artificial intelligence and predictive modeling to improve disease detection, prognosis, and healthcare outcomes, with a particular interest in rare cancers and underserved patient populations. She is passionate about using data-driven research to address gaps in healthcare delivery and enhance patient outcomes.
Jakob Bowman
Jakob Bowman is an undergraduate student studying Healthcare Administration at WVU. His core interests are quality compliance and data analysis, where he focuses on improving process accuracy, reducing errors, and turning raw data into clear, useful insights to inform better business decisions. Through his work in quality compliance and data analysis, he seeks to enhance operational accuracy, minimize errors, and translate complex information into meaningful insights that help organizations make more informed and effective decisions.
After finishing his undergrad, he intends to pursue a master’s in Healthcare Administration, then possibly apply to a doctoral program. He is excited to contribute to the field of healthcare administration and improve patient care in his community.
